Ranch Boss jerky was started in a quiet, country town, on the eastern plains of Colorado. The Ranch Mama (Lisa), was on a mission to feed her hungry family (which included the Ranch Boss (John), four fun-loving cowboys, and two feisty cowgirls). She started making beef jerky in her kitchen. After each batch, the Ranch Boss would taste test, have the Ranch Mama tweak it, and so on. Pretty soon, the Ranch Boss gave the jerky a big ol' brand of approval. As the kids grew she started to send her jerky with them to sporting events, hunting trips, and everything in between. Word got around in that little town, that she made the BEST beef jerky on this side of the Mississippi. Probably on both sides of the Mississippi, but we'll let you decide that;) pretty soon, as neighbors, friends, teachers, and work colleagues, raved and asked for more, they knew they were onto something. Not too long after Ranch Boss Jerky was formed.

Ranch Boss and Ranch Mama now have 16 grandkids and counting, and look forward to growing the herd. Long live cowboys and long live GOOD food!
